Job Description

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST APPLICATION ONLY

At Kane Constructions, Contract Management plays a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably, and to the highest standards. Working closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors, you will oversee the end-to-end administration of contracts, manage financial and compliance requirements, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex construction projects. As part of the Contract Management function, you will be responsible for administering head contracts and subcontracts, managing financial processes, and ensuring compliance with WHS, quality, and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering procurement, claims, variations, and reporting.

  • Supporting project delivery on time and on budget.

  • Building and maintaining strong client, consultant, and subcontractor relationships.

  • Leading or mentoring team members depending on level (Administrator or Manager).

  • Providing input into risk management, negotiations, and dispute resolution.

Contract Administrators will focus on day-to-day contract and financial administration, while Contract Managers will take a broader role, providing leadership, mentoring, and high-level commercial oversight.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and interpersonal communication.

  • Knowledge of contract law, head contract administration, and change management.

  • Commercial awareness, cost control, and financial reporting experience.

  • Ability to identify risks and contribute to mitigation strategies.

  • Negotiation and dispute resolution capability.

  • Experience in the construction industry with exposure to Jobpac or similar systems preferred.

  • Leadership and mentoring skills (for Contract Manager roles).
